I had a look around the Fitzwilliam Gallery (at the 16th-18th century Italian art), and the Museum of Classical Archeaology which had a large range of gorgeous works of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture.
I also paid a visit to Emmanuel Chapel where my parents were married.
It was really lovely today to have the independence to choose which galleries and museums to go to, and what to sketch. I'm in love with the classical sculptures; the way the human form is so accurate and the muscles so clearly defined, despite the complicated process of creating them so long ago. I also did a couple of sketches of women from paintings in the Italian gallery - the soft colours used thickly in the paint made their skin to almost appear glowing.
Although it was raining all day, I wish I could have had more time to stay in Cambridge and see what else there was to see!
