Haaands everyone is fond of haaaands..

Pardon me. Today whilst working on the piece below (the companion for my other penguin), the paint seemed to magically spread itself onto my left hand and arrange itself in colourful patterns inspired by my style I developed for the penguins. Oops. It then decided to mix into its complementary colours and do the same on my right hand! Oh the magic of painting...

In terms of the penguins though, I've quite enjoyed painting them. It's nice to use a style of my own created by a combination of explored techniques. In this second one I used paper for the white sections of the animal (I had intended to use newspaper, but due to the lack of it and my 'inability' to go and find one, I decided to hand-write the word 'penguin' repeatedly on a piece of notepaper and used that instead!).

Whilst the other penguin used the complementary colours, this one focuses on the primaries. Both of them bear some (unplanned) similarity to the logo for 'penguin books', so I may consider developing them into some sort of logo, with the typography I made earlier too...
