Today I spent some more time up on the 10th floor - I've been up there for a few hours now, drawing what I see out of the window using fineliner. I hope to fill the whole A1 page though it's taking much longer than I intended due to the intense amount of stuff out there.
Plus, as I discovered today, when a drawing board falls on one's foot it frickin' hurts!
I also had a life drawing session, and today I was using references from late 19th / early 20th century artist Jules Cheret, who produced paintings and posters such as the one below.
I spent 20 minutes sketching the figure, 20 minutes painting the figure, and then finished it off by painting the background and outlining the figure in the studio.
